Introduction to MPD

Music Player Daemon (MPD) allows remote access for playing music and managing playlists. MPD is designed for integrating a computer into a stereo system that provides control for music playback over a local network.

Compile the package:

Install the package:

cp -v doc/mpdconf.example ~/.mpdconf

Multilib

This package does not provide any libraries so only one installation is required.

32Bit

Install the package:

Configuring

MPD is configured with the file ~/.mpdconf. The options are self-explanatory.
