Configuration Information

--enable-gpgme: Enable GPGME support.
--disable-pgp: Disable PGP support.
--disable-smime: Disable SMIME support.
--enable-pop: Enable POP3 support.
--enable-imap: Enable IMAP support.
--enable-smtp: Include internal SMTP relay support.

Non-Multilib

Compile the package:

./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc/mutt &&
make

Install the package:

make install

Multilib

This package does not provide any libraries so only one installation is required.

32Bit

Compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc/mutt &&
make

Install the package:

make install

N32

Compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILDN32}" ./configure --prefix=/usr \
    --libdir=/usr/lib32 --sysconfdir=/etc/mutt &&
make

Install the package:

make install

64Bit

Compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILD64}" ./configure --prefix=/usr \
    --libdir=/usr/lib64 --sysconfdir=/etc/mutt &&
make

Install the package:

make install

Configuring

The file /etc/Muttrc is the heavily commented configuration file for Mutt. In addition, per user settings may be set in $HOME/.muttrc. The Mutt website has many example configuration files.
