Configuration Information

--enable-gdm --with-gdm-prefix=/etc/gnome: enable the installation of GDM specific files.

--disable-dbus: disable checking for D-BUS support.

--with-browser=BROWSER: set the default browser.

--with-terminal=TERMINAL: set the default terminal.

Non-Multilib

If you're building with --enable-gdm and your $GNOME_PREFIX is different then your $XFCE_PREFIX make sure that the xfce xsession gets installed to the proper place:

sed -i "/xsessions/s@\$(datadir)@$GNOME_PREFIX/share@g" gdm/Makefile.in

Compile the package:

./configure --prefix=${XFCE_PREFIX} --sysconfdir=/etc/xfce &&
make

Install the package:

make install

Multilib

This package does not provide any libraries so only one installation is required.

32Bit

If you're building with --enable-gdm and your $GNOME_PREFIX is different then your $XFCE_PREFIX make sure that the xfce xsession gets installed to the proper place:

sed -i "/xsessions/s@\$(datadir)@$GNOME_PREFIX/share@g" gdm/Makefile.in

Compile the package:

./configure --prefix=${XFCE_PREFIX} --sysconfdir=/etc/xfce &&
make

Install the package:

make install

N32
