Introduction to ALSA Library

The ALSA Library is a userspace library that provides a level of abstraction over the /dev interfaces provided by the kernel modules.

Project Homepage: http://www.alsa-project.org/

Dependencies

Optional

Configuration Information

If you would like to build ALSA Library against resmgr then add the following to configure:

--enable-resmgr

Non-Multilib

Compile the package:

./configure &&
make

Install the package

make install &&
install -v -m644 -D doc/asoundrc.txt \
    /usr/share/doc/alsa-lib-1.0.27.2/asoundrc.txt

Multilib

32Bit

Compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" ./configure &&
make

Install the package

make install

N32

Compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILDN32}" ./configure --libdir=/usr/lib32 &&
make

Install the package

make install

64Bit

Compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILD64}" ./configure --libdir=/usr/lib64 &&
make

Install the package

make install &&
install -v -m644 -D doc/asoundrc.txt \
    /usr/share/doc/alsa-lib-1.0.27.2/asoundrc.txt

Documentation

If you have Doxygen installed and you wish to build the library API documentation, run the following commands:

make doc &&
install -v -d -m755 /usr/share/alsa/doc/html &&
install -v -m644 doc/doxygen/html/* /usr/share/alsa/doc/html
