Introduction to Dialog

Dialog is a utility to create nice user interfaces to shell scripts, or other scripting languages, such as perl. It is non-graphical (it uses curses) so it can be run in the console or an xterm.

Dependencies

Non-Multilib

Compile the package:

./configure --prefix=/usr \
    --enable-nls --with-ncurses --with-libtool --enable-widec &&
make

Install the package

make install &&
chmod -v 755 /usr/lib/libdialog.so.*.*.*

Multilib

32Bit

Compile the package:

export USE_ARCH=32 &&
CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" ./configure --prefix=/usr \
    --enable-nls --with-ncurses --with-libtool --enable-widec &&
make

Install the package

make install &&
chmod -v 755 /usr/lib/libdialog.so.*.*.* &&
