Introduction to GDBM
GNU dbm is a set of database routines that use extensible hashing. It works similar to the standard Unix dbm routines.

Configuration Information
GDBM does not use DESTDIR, it uses INSTALL_ROOT instead. Just use INSTALL_ROOT as you would DESTDIR.
Appending --enable-libgdbm-compat configure option as shown will build and install computability headers and libraries.

Compile the package:
./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-libgdbm-compat && make
Install the package
make install
Multilib
32Bit
Compile the package:
CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" ./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-libgdbm-compat && make
Install the package

Compile the package:
