Introduction to GLib 1

The GLib package contains a low-level core library. This is useful for providing data structure handling for C, portability wrappers and interfaces for such runtime functionality as an event loop, threads, dynamic loading, and an object system.

Non-Multilib

Compile the package:

patch -Np1 -i ../glib-1.2.10-fixes-1.patch &&
patch -Np1 -i ../glib-1.2.10-config_update-1.patch &&
./configure --prefix=/usr &&
make

Install the package

make install &&
chmod -v 755 /usr/lib/libgmodule-1.2.so.0.0.10

Multilib

32Bit

Compile the package:

patch -Np1 -i ../glib-1.2.10-fixes-1.patch &&
patch -Np1 -i ../glib-1.2.10-config_update-1.patch &&
CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" ./configure --prefix=/usr --host=${CLFS_TARGET32} &&
make

Install the package

make install &&
chmod -v 755 /usr/lib/libgmodule-1.2.so.0.0.10 &&
mv -v /usr/bin/glib-config{,-32}

N32

Compile the package:

patch -Np1 -i ../glib-1.2.10-fixes-1.patch &&
patch -Np1 -i ../glib-1.2.10-config_update-1.patch &&
CC="gcc ${BUILDN32}"./configure --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib32 &&
make

Install the package

make install &&
chmod -v 755 /usr/lib32/libgmodule-1.2.so.0.0.10 &&
mv -v /usr/bin/glib-config{,-n32}

64Bit

Compile the package:

patch -Np1 -i ../glib-1.2.10-fixes-1.patch &&
patch -Np1 -i ../glib-1.2.10-config_update-1.patch &&
CC="gcc ${BUILD64}" ./configure --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib64 &&
make

Install the package

make install &&
chmod -v 755 /usr/lib64/libgmodule-1.2.so.0.0.10 &&
mv -v /usr/bin/glib-config{,-64} &&
ln -sfv multiarch_wrapper /usr/bin/glib-config

glib-config	is a tool that is used by configure scripts to determine the compiler and linker flags that should be used to compile and link programs that use GLib.
