Introduction to Gtk1

The Gtk1 package contains version 1 of the GTK+ libraries. GTK+ is a multi-platform toolkit for creating graphical user interfaces. It is the GUI toolkit that Gnome uses. While the current version of Gnome - Gnome 2 - is based on Gtk2, there are still a number of packages that use the Gtk1 version of GTK+.

Install the package

make install &&
install -v -m755 -d /usr/share/doc/gtk+-1.2.10/{html,text} &&
install -v -m644 docs/html/* /usr/share/doc/gtk+-1.2.10/html &&
install -v -m644 docs/text/* /usr/share/doc/gtk+-1.2.10/text

Compile the package:
