Introduction to LibUnique

Unique is a library for writing single instance application. If you launch a single instance application twice, the second instance will either just quit or will send a message to the running instance.

Compile the package:

./configure --prefix=${GNOME_PREFIX} \
    --libexecdir=${GNOME_PREFIX}/lib/libunique &&
make

Install the package

make install

If your GNOME_PREFIX is anything other then /usr, create the following symbolic link:

ln -v -s ${GNOME_PREFIX}/lib/gtk-2.0/2.23.0/filesystems \
    /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.23.0

Multilib

32Bit

Compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATH32}" USE_ARCH=32 \
./configure --prefix=${GNOME_PREFIX} \
    --libexecdir=${GNOME_PREFIX}/lib/libunique &&
make

Install the package

make install

If your GNOME_PREFIX is anything other then /usr, create the following symbolic link:

ln -v -s ${GNOME_PREFIX}/lib/gtk-2.0/2.23.0/filesystems \
    /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.23.0

N32

Compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILDN32}" PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATHN32}" USE_ARCH=n32 \
./configure --prefix=${GNOME_PREFIX} --libdir=${GNOME_PREFIX}/lib32 \
    --libexecdir=${GNOME_PREFIX}/lib32/libunique &&
make

Install the package

make install

If your GNOME_PREFIX is anything other then /usr, create the following symbolic link:

ln -v -s ${GNOME_PREFIX}/lib32/gtk-2.0/2.23.0/filesystems \
    /usr/lib32/gtk-2.0/2.23.0

64Bit

Compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILD64}" PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATH64}" USE_ARCH=64 \
./configure --prefix=${GNOME_PREFIX} --libdir=${GNOME_PREFIX}/lib64 \
    --libexecdir=${GNOME_PREFIX}/lib64/libunique &&
make

Install the package

make install

If your GNOME_PREFIX is anything other then /usr, create the following symbolic link:

ln -v -s ${GNOME_PREFIX}/lib64/gtk-2.0/2.23.0/filesystems \
    /usr/lib64/gtk-2.0/2.23.0
