Introduction to Libshout

Libshout allows applications to easily communicate and broadcast to an Icecast streaming media server. It handles the socket connections, metadata communication, and data streaming for the calling application, and lets developers focus on feature sets instead of implementation details.

Install the package

make install

Compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATH32}" \
./configure --prefix=/usr &&
make

Install the package

make install

If Pkg-config is not installed run the following command:

mv -v /usr/bin/shout-config{,-32}

N32

Compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILDN32}" PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATHN32}" \
./configure --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib32 &&
make

Install the package

make install

If Pkg-config is not installed run the following command:

mv -v /usr/bin/shout-config{,-n32}

64Bit

Compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILD64}" PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATH64}" \
./configure --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib64 &&
make

Install the package

make install

If Pkg-config is not installed run the following command:

mv -v /usr/bin/shout-config{,-64} &&
ln -sfv multiarch_wrapper /usr/bin/shout-config
