Introduction to Paco

Paco is a source code package organizer for Unix/Linux systems, originally written to aid package management when installing an (C)LFS system.

Dependencies

Optional

  • Gtkmm required to build the gpaco GUI
  • Bash-completion required to use the paco_bash_completion script

Configuration Information

--disable-gpaco don't build the GTK interface gpaco.
--enable-scripts install scripts pacoball, superpaco, rpm2paco, ocap, paco_bash_completion

Non-Multilib

Compile the package:

./configure --prefix=/usr &&
make

Install the package:

make install

Optionally, log paco's installation of itself:

make logme

Multilib

32Bit

Compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATH32}" ./configure --prefix=/usr &&
make

Install the package:

make install
