Introduction to Parted
Parted is a package that provides utilities for creating, destroying, resizing, checking and copying partitions and the file systems on the partitions. Parted provides a command-line interface that also serves as a sample implementation and script backend. The library allows the use of a GUI, such as GParted or QTParted, for the front end to parted.

If you would like to build Parted with device-mapper support then add the following to configure:
--enable-device-mapper

Compile the package:
./configure --prefix=/usr --disable-Werror && make
Install the package
make install

CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" ./configure --prefix=/usr --disable-Werror &&
make
Install the package
