Introduction to Parted

Parted is a package that provides utilities for creating, destroying, resizing, checking and copying partitions and the file systems on the partitions. Parted provides a command-line interface that also serves as a sample implementation and script backend. The library allow the use of a GUI, such as GParted or QTParted, for the front end to parted.

Dependencies

NOTE: The version of HAL currently provided by CBLFS is Template:Hal-Version. This version of HAL specifically looks for Parted-1.7.1.

Non-Multilib

Compile the package:

./configure --prefix=/usr &&

Install the package

Compile the package:
