Introduction to T1lib

t1lib is written in the C programming language allowing a programmer to generate/rasterize bitmaps from Adobe (TM) Type 1 fonts quite easily. t1lib is based on the code of the X11 rasterizer which was donated by IBM to the X11 project.

Configure the package:

./configure --prefix=/usr

If you have TeTeX installed and would like to build the documentation issue:

make

Otherwise issue:

make without_doc

Install the package

make install &&
chmod -v 755 /usr/lib/libt1.so.5.1.2

If you have an X Window System installed issue:

chmod -v 755 /usr/lib/libt1x.so.5.1.2

Multilib

Compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" USE_ARCH=32 ./configure --prefix=/usr &&
make without_doc

Install the package

make install &&
chmod -v 755 /usr/lib/libt1.so.5.1.2

If you have an X Window System installed issue:

chmod -v 755 /usr/lib/libt1x.so.5.1.2
