The robots package provides the drivers that you will race against. Below is a list of drivers that each of the packages provides:
- robots-base (Required)
- tita
- lliaw
- damned
- cylos1
- tanhoj
- inferno
- inferno2
- robots-berniw (Optional)
- sparkle
- berniw
- berniw2
- berniw3
- robots-bt (Optional)
- bt
- robots-olethros (Optional)
- olethros
The data packages, not extracted with the source and drivers packages, provides track, car, and other information.

Non-Multilib
Compile the package:
patch -Np1 -i ../torcs-1.2.4-gcc41_fixes-1.patch && ./configure --prefix=/usr && make
Install the package
make install
Multilib
This package does not provide any external libraries so only one installation is needed
32Bit
Compile the package:
patch -Np1 -i ../torcs-1.2.4-gcc41_fixes-1.patch && CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" CXX="g++ ${BUILD32}" USE_ARCH=32 \ PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATH32}" \ ./configure --prefix=/usr && make
Install the package
make install
N32
Compile the package:
patch -Np1 -i ../torcs-1.2.4-gcc41_fixes-1.patch && CC="gcc ${BUILDN32}" CXX="g++ ${BUILDN32}" USE_ARCH=n32 \ PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATHN32}" \ ./configure --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib32 && make
Install the package
make install
64Bit
Compile the package:
patch -Np1 -i ../torcs-1.2.4-gcc41_fixes-1.patch && CC="gcc ${BUILD64}" CXX="g++ ${BUILD64}" USE_ARCH=64 \ PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATH64}" \ ./configure --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib64 && make
Install the package
make install
Installing the Data Packages
Each of the data packages you downloaded needs to be extracted in /usr/share/games/torcs. Below is a quick way todo it:
for dpkg in ../TORCS-1.2.4-data*; do tar xvf $dpkg -C /usr/share/games/torcs done
