x264 is a free library for encoding H264/AVC video streams.

Dependencies

Configuration Information

--disable-mp4-output disables mp4 output (use this you do not want/have Gpac installed).
--enable-visualize enables visualization (X11 only).

Non-Multilib

If you have a X Window System installed and intend to pass --enable-visualize then run the following command:

sed -i "s@/usr/X11R6@${XORG_PREFIX}@g" configure

Compile the package:

./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-shared --enable-pic \
    --extra-cflags="-I${XORG_PREFIX-/usr}/include" &&
make

Install the package

make install

Multilib

32Bit

Compile the package:
