Configuration Information
Some X Window System options that can be passed to the configure script. To explicitly prohibit their use, pass them as --disable- options.
--enable-randr: try to use the XRANDR extension. |
--enable-render: try to use the render extension. |
--enable-xsync: try to use the XSync extenstion. |
--enable-compositor: enable the compositor. |
Non-Multilib
Compile the package:

Install the package:

Configuring
The compositor extensions are included in the X.org X Server. To enable compositing, edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf, adding the following. You will have to restart the X Server for this change to take effect.
Section "Extensions" Option "Composite" "Enable" EndSection
If you are using the nVidia closed-cource driver, you may add the following to the "Device" section in /etc/X11/xorg.conf to enable the XRender in hardware.
Option "RenderAccel" "true"
