Xaw3d-1.5E.tar.gz will extract into xc/lib/Xaw3d. cd into that directory before running the commands in this page.

Introduction to Xaw3d
Xaw3d is a general-purpose replacement for the Athena toolkit which adds a 3D appearance and support for XPM images.
Dependencies
Required
Non-Multilib
First you must install *.h files before compiling Xaw3d. In root, execute the following commands :
mkdir ${XORG_PREFIX}/include/X11/Xaw3d
cp *.h ${XORG_PREFIX}/include/X11/Xaw3d
Compile the package:
xmkmf && make EXTRA_INCLUDES=-I.
Install the package:
make install
Multilib
32Bit
Compile the package:
sed -i "s:X11/Xaw3d/::" *.c && USE_ARCH=32 xmkmf && make EXTRA_INCLUDES=-I.
Install the package:
make install
N32
Compile the package:
sed -i "s:X11/Xaw3d/::" *.c && USE_ARCH=n32 xmkmf && make EXTRA_INCLUDES=-I.
Install the package:
make install
64Bit
Compile the package:
sed -i "s:X11/Xaw3d/::" *.c && USE_ARCH=64 xmkmf && make EXTRA_INCLUDES=-I.
Install the package:
make install
