Introduction to APR

The mission of the Apache Portable Runtime (APR) project is to create and maintain software libraries that provide a predictable and consistent interface to underlying platform-specific implementations.

Compile the package:

./configure --prefix=/usr \
    --with-installbuilddir=/usr/lib/apr-1 &&
make

Install the package:

make install

Multilib

32Bit

Compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" USE_ARCH=32 \
./configure --prefix=/usr \
    --with-installbuilddir=/usr/lib/apr-1 &&
make

Install the package:

make install &&
mv -v /usr/bin/apr-1-config{,-32}

N32

Compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILDN32}" USE_ARCH=n32 \
./configure --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib32 \
    --with-installbuilddir=/usr/lib32/apr-1 &&
make

Install the package:

make install &&
mv -v /usr/bin/apr-1-config{,-n32}

64Bit

Compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILD64}" USE_ARCH=64 \
./configure --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib64 \
    --with-installbuilddir=/usr/lib64/apr-1 &&
make

Install the package:

make install &&
mv -v /usr/bin/apr-1-config{,-64} &&
ln -sfv multiarch_wrapper /usr/bin/apr-1-config
