Introduction to Libevent

The libevent API provides a mechanism to execute a callback function when a specific event occurs on a file descriptor or after a timeout has been reached. Furthermore, libevent also support callbacks due to signals or regular timeouts

make

Install the package:

make install

Configure and compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" ./configure --prefix=/usr &&
make

Install the package:

make install

N32

Configure and compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILDN32}" ./configure --prefix=/usr \
    --libdir=/usr/lib32 &&
make

Install the package:

make install

64Bit

Configure and compile the package:

CC="gcc ${BUILD64}" ./configure --prefix=/usr \
    --libdir=/usr/lib64 &&
make

Install the package:

make install
