Introduction to Libgsf
The GNOME Structured File Library is a utility library for reading and writing structured file formats.
Project Homepage: http://www.gnome.org/
Dependencies
Required
Optional
- GConf (required to build the gsf-office-thumbnailer program)
- GNOME Virtual File System (required to build the libgsf-gnome-1.so library which provides GNOME-2 support)
- Gtk-Doc
- Python and PyGTK
You need to build the libgsf-gnome-1.so library if you plan on building Gnumeric with GNOME support.
Non-Multilib
Compile the package:
./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc/gnome && make
Install the package
make install
Command Explanations
--sysconfdir=/etc/gnome: Pass this parameter to the configure script if you have GNOME-2 installed so that the GConf schema files are installed in the correct location.
--enable-gtk-doc: Use this parameter if GTK-Doc is installed and you wish to rebuild the API documentation.
Multilib
32Bit
Compile the package:
CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATH32}" USE_ARCH=32 \ ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc/gnome && make
Install the package
make install
N32
Compile the package:
CC="gcc ${BUILDN32}" PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATHN32}" USE_ARCH=n32 \ ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc/gnome \ --libdir=/usr/lib32 && make
Install the package
make install
64Bit
Compile the package:
CC="gcc ${BUILD64}" PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATH64}" USE_ARCH=64 \ ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc/gnome \ --libdir=/usr/lib64 && make
Install the package
make install
