Introduction to Libical

Libical is an Open Source implementation of the IETF's iCalendar Calendaring and Scheduling protocols. (RFC 2445, 2446, and 2447). It parses iCal components and provides a C API for manipulating the component properties, parameters, and subcomponents.

Compile the package:

patch -Np1 -i ../libical-0.44config_update-1.patch &&
./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-python-bindings=yes &&
make

Install the package

make install

Multilib

32Bit

Compile the package:

export USE_ARCH=32 &&
patch -Np1 -i ../libical-0.44-config_update-1.patch &&
sed -i "s/ld -shared/& ${LD_BUILD32}/" src/python/Makefile.in &&
CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" ./configure --prefix=/usr \
    --enable-python-bindings=yes &&
make

Install the package

make install &&
unset USE_ARCH

N32

Compile the package:

export USE_ARCH=n32 &&
patch -Np1 -i ../libical-0.44-config_update-1.patch &&
sed -i "s/ld -shared/& ${LD_BUILDN32}/" src/python/Makefile.in &&
CC="gcc ${BUILDN32}" ./configure --prefix=/usr \
    --libdir=/usr/lib32 --enable-python-bindings=yes &&
make

Install the package

make install &&
unset USE_ARCH

64Bit

Compile the package:

export USE_ARCH=64 &&
patch -Np1 -i ../libical-0.44-config_update-1.patch &&
sed -i "s/ld -shared/& ${LD_BUILD64}/" src/python/Makefile.in &&
CC="gcc ${BUILD64} -fPIC" ./configure --prefix=/usr \
    --libdir=/usr/lib64 --enable-python-bindings=yes &&
make

Install the package

make install &&
