Introduction to Pidgin

Gaim is an instant messaging client that can connect with a wide range of networks including AIM, ICQ, MSN, Jabber, IRC, Napster, Gadu-Gadu, Zephyr and Yahoo!

Compile the package:

./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc/gnome &&
make 

Install the package

make install

Multilib

32Bit

Compile the package:

export USE_ARCH=32 &&
sed -i "s/lib64/lib/g" configure &&
CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATH32}" \
./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc/gnome &&
make

Install the package

make install &&
unset USE_ARCH

N32

Compile the package:

export USE_ARCH=n32 &&
sed -i "s/lib64/lib32/g" configure &&
CC="gcc ${BUILDN32}" PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATHN32}" \
./configure --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib32 \
    --sysconfdir=/etc/gnome &&
make

Install the package

make install &&
unset USE_ARCH

64Bit

Compile the package:

export USE_ARCH=64 &&
CC="gcc ${BUILD64}" PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATH64}" \
./configure --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib64 \
    --sysconfdir=/etc/gnome &&
make

Install the package

make install &&
unset USE_ARCH
