Introduction to DirectFB

DirectFB is a graphics library which was designed with embedded systems in mind. It offers maximum hardware accelerated performance at a minimum of resource usage and overhead.

Configuration Information

--with-gfxdrivers=list: Choose your video driver in the list (ati128, cle266, cyber5k, i810, i830, mach64, matrox, neomagic, nsc, nvidia, radeon, savage, sis315, tdfx, unichrome)

--enable-X11: Add X11 support

Non-Multilib

Compile the package:

./configure --prefix=/usr --disable-dependency-tracking --enable-zlib &&
sed -i 's/X11R6/X11R7/g' systems/x11/Makefile &&
make

Install the package:

make install

Multilib

32Bit

change <YOURVIDEODRIVERS> to one or more from:

ati128, cle266, cyber5k, davinci, i810, i830, mach64, matrox,
neomagic, nsc, nvidia, omap, radeon, savage, sh7722,
sis315, tdfx, unichrome, vmware

change <YOURINPUTDRIVERS> to one or more from:

 dbox2remote, dreamboxremote, dynapro, elo-input, gunze, h3600_ts,
 joystick, keyboard, linuxinput, lirc, mutouch, penmount, ps2mouse,
 serialmouse, sonypijogdial, tslib, ucb1x00, wm97xx

Compile the package:

 USE_ARCH=32 PKG_CONFIG_PATH=${PKG_CONFIG_PATH32} CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" \
   CXX="g++ ${BUILD32}" ./configure --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib \
   --disable-dependency-tracking --enable-zlib --enable-X11 \ 
   --target=${CLFS_TARGET32} --enable-sysfs --enable-multi \
   --with-gfxdrivers=<YOURVIDEODRIVERS> \
   --with-inputdrivers=<YOURINPUTDRIVERS>
