Introduction to Weechat
Weechat is a multi-platform IRC standards compliant client with console, ncurses, wxWidgets, Gtk2, and Qt interfaces.
Project Homepage: http://weechat.flashtux.org/index.php
Dependencies
Optional
Non-Multilib
With cMake
Create a build directory as recommended in the documentation:
mkdir build cd build
Prepare the package for compilation:
cmake .. -DPREFIX=/usr
The -DPREFIX=/usr ensures that weechat will be installed in /usr directory. Specifify any directory if you want to install it in another location.
Compile the package:
make
Finally, as root user, install the package:
make install
Without cMake
If you don't have cMake installed, you'll use autotools.
Compile the package:
./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc && make
Install the package
make install
Multilib
This package does not provide any external libraries, only plugins, so only one installation is needed.
64Bit
Compile the package:
CC="gcc ${BUILD64}" USE_ARCH=64 \ ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc \ --libdir=/usr/lib64 && make
Install the package
make install
