Install the package:
make INS_BASE=/fakeroot/ DEFINSUSR=0 DEFINSGRP=0 install cp libs/<platform>/pic/* /usr/lib
Because of the nature of this particular make system the platform is your actual processor with linux-cc appended to it.
Example is "intel-r--pentium--4-cpu-3.00ghz-linux-cc."
