Compile the package:

sed -i "s/-Wall/& -D_GNU_SOURCE/" configure &&
./configure --prefix=/usr --libexecdir=/usr/sbin &&
make

If you have Doxygen installed and wish to build documentation, pass the following to the configure script.

 --enable-docs

Install the package

make install &&
install -v -m755 -d /usr/share/doc/gamin-0.1.10 &&
install -v -m644 doc/*.{html,fig,gif,txt} /usr/share/doc/gamin-0.1.10

Multilib

32Bit

Compile the package:

sed -i "s/-Wall/& -D_GNU_SOURCE/" configure &&
CC="gcc ${BUILD32}" USE_ARCH=32 PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATH32}" \
./configure --prefix=/usr --libexecdir=/usr/sbin &&
make

Install the package

make install

N32

Compile the package:

sed -i "s/-Wall/& -D_GNU_SOURCE/" configure &&
CC="gcc ${BUILDN32}" USE_ARCH=n32 PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATHN32}" \
./configure --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib32 --libexecdir=/usr/sbin &&
make

Install the package

make install

64Bit

Compile the package:

sed -i "s/-Wall/& -D_GNU_SOURCE/" configure &&
CC="gcc ${BUILD64}" USE_ARCH=64 PKG_CONFIG_PATH="${PKG_CONFIG_PATH64}" \
./configure --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib64 --libexecdir=/usr/sbin &&
make

Installed Libraries: libfam.{so,a}, libgamin-1.{so,a}, libgamin_shared.a and optionally, Python _gamin.{so,a} module

Short Descriptions

gam_server is the file alteration monitor daemon that is started on demand for each user.
libgamin.{so,a} contains functions that support the file allocation monitor.
libfam.{so,a} contains functions that provide compatibility with FAM.
